8 Day Trek – March 2021

O Circuit (W Trek) Torre de Paine National Park, Chile

We offer this trek as an independent walking group with a guide for the remote (but not a commercial guided trek) and costings shared accordingly – max 5 persons

The O Circuit Trek is for those who truly love being out in nature, remote and away from the crowds. To come to this NP and only walk the “W” you are missing out on the best. The O Circuit is 8 days but well worth the extra time and you carry day pack only. You can choose to stay in refugios or enjoy the comfort of a tent set up on a timber platform. Refugios provide a full breakfast, packed lunch and a hot 3 course meal each day. Plus you will have the support of both our company guide and a local Patagonian guide. Walk the remote 5 days on the back of the mountains and up and over the pass to the superb views over the Southern Patagonia Ice Fields – the second largest in the world.

Patagonia is renown for its windy rainy cloudy weather, but by going in March we are more likely to have sunshine, clear skies and little wind. Sea kayaking at Glacier Grey is fantastic and an extra option and also an additional night at Torre Refugio is optional to give more opportunity to see the fabulous Torre’s in their splendor at dawn. Pricing is to be advised closer to 2021 and will include transport from Puerto Natales to the NP. Please send us your expression of interest as the small group is limited and filling fast.

3 or 4 Day Trek – March  2021

Fitz Roy & the Cerro Torre Loop

After experiencing the O Circuit in Chile, it is an easy bus connection to cross the Andes into Argentina to trek the outstanding scenery of Mt Fitz Roy & the Cerro Torre loop. Most trekkers do this on several day walks, but they are missing out on experiencing the early morning light and the sunsets on these amazing lake and mountain vistas. As it is  relatively short distances to walk to each camp, we hire our camping equipment in El Chalten and share the load up to the campsites. Supplies of food are obtained in El Chalten, especially the beautiful fresh bread on the morning we leave. The aroma greets you as you walk along the main street to the beginning of our trek!

Small group only so please send us your expression of interest as soon as possible.

Langtang Valley & Gosainkund Lake Circuit Trek

Grading easy/moderate.   Enjoy expansive Himalayan views, interesting Tamang culture, relatively gentle pace, quiet trails, massive mountains and a holy lake.  The 2015 earthquake and subsequent landslide had an enormous effect on the region, but aid and reconstructions have recently reopened this valley to trekking again.  Not only is it still a beautiful trek, your visit will also provide vital support for local livelihoods.

8 Day Trek – November 2023

Rara Lake & National Park Circuit Trek

Grading is Moderate.  The highlight of this trek is a lofty blue jewel of a lake surrounded by a wilderness area of meadows and forests of blue alpine and rhododendron.  The park is also one of the best places in Nepal to see wildlife, including Himalayan black bear, tahr, goral, musk deer and the rare red (lesser) panda.  The lake is Nepal’s largest and is home to many species of waterfowl.
