Nepal - General information

Trekking Nepal Himalayas is an awe-inspiring experience. Combine the mountain scenery with the vibrant but gentle Nepalese culture which will have you coming back for more.   With Simply Trekking each trek has additional days included (compared with other operators) so that it can be taken at a leisurely pace and give you time to experience the culture, take lots of fabulous photos and enjoy camaraderie with your group.  Each trek is lead by a local Nepalese professional licensed guide and his team.   You will also have a host from Simply Trekking travelling with you to make sure you get the most out of your trekking experience in the Himalayas.   Day pack carry only and clean comfortable teahouse accommodation and food.  In some cases, authentic home stay will be used.  To ensure your warmth, down jackets, sleeping bags and duffle bag can be hired.  Prices are based on 4 trekkers but will be discounted for 6 or max 8 so get your mates to come along and have a great experience.

Langtang Valley & Gosainkund Lake Trek, Himalayas, Nepal

Langtang Valley & Gosainkund Lake Circuit Trek – 9 days trekking.  Grading easy/moderate.   Enjoy expansive Himalayan views, interesting Tamang culture, relatively gentle pace, quiet trails, massive mountains and a holy lake.  The 2015 earthquake and subsequent landslide had an enormous effect on he region, but aid and reconstructions have recently reopened this valley to trekking again.  Not only is it still a beautiful trek, your visit will also provide vital support for local livelihoods.

Other short treks in the Langtang Valley – 3, 4 or 5 days trekking.  Grading is easy/moderate.  If you only have a few days and would like to explore outside of Kathmandu, then the Langtang Valley region is well worth visiting.  Enjoy the genuine hospitality of the local Nepalese people, experience the Tibetan influenced Tamang villages, chortens, mani walls, terraced farms, 80-120m waterfalls and more.  We are currently putting together some short treks that will interest you.

Rara Lake & National Park Circuit Trek, Himalayas, Nepal

Rara Lake & National Park Circuit Trek – 8 days trekking.  Grading is Moderate.  The highlight of this trek is a lofty blue jewel of a lake surrounded by a wilderness area of meadows and forests of blue alpine and rhododendron.  The park is also one of the best places in Nepal to see wildlife, including Himalayan black bear, tahr, goral, musk deer and the rare red (lesser) panda.  The lake is Nepal’s largest and is home to many species of waterfowl.

Upper Dolpo Jumla to JomsomTrek, Himalayas, Nepal

Upper Dolpo Jumla to Jomsom Trek – 20 days trekking. Grading is Moderate/Hard. Upper Dolpo is a hidden gem filled with cultural impressions, Tibetan style villages, barren landscapes, mountain peaks and fertile rice terraces.

Goyko Lakes & Everest Circuit. 20 days trekking. Grading is Moderate/Hard. Experience the amazing mountain scenery on this 20 day trek into the heart of the Sherpa homeland crossing the glaciated Cho La Pass and onto the classic route to Everest Base Camp. You also get to climb Kala Pattar (5545m) for fabulous close-up view of Mount Everest. 24 days in total including 4 nights hotel in Kathmandu, 1 day sightseeing optional.
