Join Simply Trekking on a family walk exploration at a less-visited Perth waterfall at Ellis Brook.
It is a walking gem and less than one hour from the city centre and impressive after heavy rains. Panoramic views, wildflowers and emerald green waters.
Our first family walk we didn’t even get to see the falls or the quarry. The signage is a little hard to follow so if you haven’t been here before I’d suggest that you join us on your first visit and then you will be fine to explore on your own.
There are four trails: Echidna is a paved path, Blue Wren Ramble trail and Eagle View Trail a little more difficult.
The Sixty Foot Falls Trail takes you to the top of Sixty Foot Falls and passes by the cliffs of the Old Barrington Quarry.
As the one up the Sixty Foot Falls is very steep, we will have two guides, one for the lower easier trails and the other guide will take you up the Sixty Foot Falls to experience the view and the gorgeous colour of the water in the quarry.
Morning tea will be enjoyed close to the car park – Honeyeater Hollow Picnic Area.
Please bring your own track snacks and 1 litre of water each. We recommend you bring lunch with you, leave it in the car and make a day of it. Enjoy the peace and quiet and search out the other trails to see if you can find even more wildflowers.
