Winter and Spring are very special along the Bibbulmun Track as it travels along the Darling Scarp. Enjoy spectacular sunsets and wake up to beautiful misty mornings. The streams and brooks are running with little waterfalls, green moss and granite rock pools. The trail climbs between huge granite outcrops with an abundance of wildflowers and if you look closely you might even glimpse the elusive West Australian orchids.
The trek starts before the Mundaring Weir so that we experience the views and lookout of the weir before arriving at our campsite for our first night. The trail meanders through pretty Manns Gully then climbs gently up onto the Darling Scarp with stunning views from our next two campsites. We walk through some very large Wandoo trees and the wildflowers are sprinkled throughout. A highlight of the trek is the loop for spectacular views from Mt Dale (without backpacks).
